Concept for spatial and furniture design for an estate agency, Islington.

The concept for these prominent independent agents in Islington north London, is based on the notion that a house is more than just real estate.

A new house will quickly become a new home, in which new experiences and memories are created. Viewing homes offered for sale, is compared with walking through an art gallery appreciating the art on display.

The foyer is designed as a ‘mini’ art gallery, including pods for exhibiting local art as part of firm connection these agents have with local community. The window is kept clear of all the clutter of images that normally occupy estate agents windows.

Following on, clients are greeted by the letting team, seated on a bespoke communal desk. The rear is occupied by the sales team, offering individual seating arrangement and a more private, personal service.

A large window at the back, which currently receives no natural light, floods the space with morning light.
